Instructors: Axel & Zara Estelle Thursdays: 8:15 PM - 9:15 PM Six (6) weeks + student showcase Series 1: 2/13-3/20 Dress Rehearsal: 4/18, 7:00 PM Showcase Dates: 5/9 and/or 10 Price: $180 Combining theatre and dance skills, this course is for everyone looking to embrace their masculine side with confidence and sensuality through the art of burlesque! Mascuerade Menagerie is a welcoming and inclusive space for you to explore self-expression, movement, and performance. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a complete beginner, this course is the perfect place to celebrate your masculinity. No matter your gender identity, body type, or performance experience, this course is for you! Progressive students may have the opportunity to perform at the end of semester showcase. Students would be required to furnish their own costumes. Learning Outcomes: • One choreographed routine • Learn the fundamentals of burlesque performance, including movement, character development, and stage presence • Discover the joy of self-love and body positivity • Explore creative ways to express your unique identity through costume and performance What to Bring: • A flat dress shoe or loafer • A blazer • Water • Notebook and writing utensil About Us: Drenched in over a century of charm, Metropolitan Studios Arts & Movement Community is an affordable creative space in the heart of Atlanta’s East Atlanta Village; and Atlanta's Burlesque and Cabaret House.
